He has worked with the Government Agencies namely the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) as Chief Economist and Deputy Secretary General, respectively. He has also served as Executive Director of the Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA). Mr. Ducay has extensive training and work experience in Social Services, Housing , Population and Demography, Development Planning, Economics, Public Finance and Urban and Regional Planning.
Recently, FBRDC was awarded by the Office of the President through the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) as the Leading Developer in Economic Housing, House and Lot Package Project in Cagayan Valley , Western Visayas and Northern Mindanao. regions. The FBRDC was also awarded as the Leading Developer in Socialized Housing, House and Lot Package Project in Western Visayas and Cagayan Valley Regions. FBRDC won an award in all regions where it has housing projects.
CONSTRUCTION WORK
Construction work usually commences as soon as FBRDC secures the Developmeent Permit for the project from the local government, and the Certificate of Registration and License to Sell wich are granted by the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board(HLURB).
COST EFFECIENCY
For cost effeciency, the construction of housing units is done in batches of 20 to 40 housing units, which takes about a month to complete. Labor is provided by independent contractors who are chosen on the basis of their track record with FBRDC, and thus have the experience and the commitment to uphold FBRDC's standards on quality, speed and cleanliness. These contractors are monitored and supervised by FBRDC's field engineers and foreman, who are always present in the project site.
MATERIALS PURCHASE
The magnitude of FBRDC's projects and operations has placed the Company in a position where it can command the most favorable terms and condition from suppliers of construction materials.
Moreover, FBRDC conduct a periodic canvass of the prices of construction material from at least three supplier, before any purchase is confirmed, to ensure that the best terms and the lowest prices are obtained. To keep the materials inventory level at the acceptable minimum, the delivery of materials to the project site is programmed in such a way that only the materials and suplies needed for a certain period of time are procured and kept as inventory. In some project, FBRDC maintains its own facility for manufacturing hollow blocks and solid blocks.
